We at INCOSE RUS initiated the Project for translation of The Guide for Writing Requirements (Product of one of the INCOSE working groups). This project is one of the typical projects of INCOSE RUS: various stakeholders take part at the project voluntarily; each stakeholder representative benefits from the project both during the work and using the result of the project.
We use computer-aided translation system Google Translation Toolkit in this project (not to be confused with machine translation). We also use the glossary based on the Reference Book on Software and Systems Engineering by professor Viktor Batovrin. As a result - not taking into account the translated document itself - we receive a translation memory, which will help us in future translation projects. These technologies are used by professional translators, so knowledge and experience using them won't be useless.

Alexander Gennadyevich Luchkov International Aeronavigation Systems Focus area: "Modelling and Test beds" Head of Common Systems and Technologies Department [email protected] «For the industry participants involved in the development of new technologies, the formulation of the task is very important for the success of the project. Classical technical specifications, used in our country, as practice shows, bring a lot of difficulties. They are often poorly worded, contain unnecessary definitions and limitations, require further specification and coordination with project members, which usually slows the project and is unprofitable for all project participants. For my part, I see in this document the opportunity to review and apply the proposed practices in projects with a multitude of stakeholders, complex concepts and a high degree of responsibility for the result to improve the situation with the accuracy of task formation and evaluation of results».
